How can I edit my 2019 state refund amount on the 2020 federal return?

I did hit the "edit" button to confirm the amount of the state refund. There is also a box that says "Total of all your payments and withholdings." I put zero and when I hit "continue" it takes me back to the summary page but shows exactly double the amount of my state refund from 2019. How do I get that to show the correct amount?
