How can I change the Turbo Tax file used as a basis for the amended return. Turbo Tax wants to use an earlier 1040 I prepared.

I have done the Amended return & the file initially used is incorrect.   The refund is off by $62.   I  verified the refund deposited in my checking acc.  How do I have Turbo Tax start with that file rather than an earlier version.

Amended return refunds are only issued by check mailed by the IRS.

This sounds like you have several TurboTax files on your computer.

The file used must be the file that you submitted to the IRS, as submitted to the IRS.

If you have two or more tax files for your NJ filing and you opened and amended the wrong one, delete it and any other  inapplicable ones  and open the correct one.

Be careful not to delete the true tax file.

Thanks for helping- yes I had several earlier versions - once I found the "filed" version - amending was easy..
