How can I amend this years forms so I can submit my completed federal taxes by efile to my student loan recertification process ? I want to efile my federal tax !!

You cannot e-file an amended tax return. The IRS only accepts mailed 1040X returns.

If you have e-filed your original return, you can submit that plus a paper copy of your 1040X, along with proof that you have mailed your amended return. If you use Return Receipt Requested or use the USPS, UPS or FedEx next day or second day delivery, all will track your shipment and provide proof of receipt.

You can track the progress of your amended return at the IRS Where’s My Amended Return?  web site. It usually takes several weeks before you see any acknowledgment on this web site, however.
