Hi my spouse and I are non resident aliens on an F1 visa, his income his negligible since he only graduated in dec, can we file taxes jointly?

Since you are both non-resident aliens, you will need to file a form 1040 NR.  TurboTax does not support this form.  You will need to use Sprintax.com to file form 1040NR.

Thanks Vanessa. Can we file as ‘married jointly’ or do we need to file married but separately ?

That would be a question for Sprintax.com as the rules for nonresidents are not always the same as the rules for residents.
