If you chose to file by mail, you have to mail it yourself.   TurboTax never mails it for you.

You need to print it, sign it in ink on page 2 next to the words Sign Here and mail it.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

Mailed returns are taking the IRS about six months (or longer) to process so do not expect a quick refund if you file by mail.

If you choose to mail in the return these were  the screens you saw ... it tells you that YOU have to print, ink sign and mail the return.  It is important when you take the responsibility to file your own tax return to read and follow the screen instructions carefully no matter which tax program you use ...
