The IRS will not make a direct deposit to a foreign bank.  They will only mail a check to you in your country, and it will be up to you to deposit/cash that U.S. Treasury check.

And....you cannot change how you want to receive your refund after you file your tax return.  The IRS does not allow that.   If the refund went to a closed account, it will go back to the IRS.  Then they will mail a check.  Does the IRS have the correct mailing address for you?

No, the thing is that I made my tax return in 2021 , in the e-payment, they didnt have to send me the check but my card was blocked, i don't know my status about that money because i can't see it and I am no able to call any amarican number here, thats the problem, i tried but there is just an automatic IA customer service respond, without anyone telling me how can i change my info to make that 2021 tax return money come to me in any way that might be possible, i need someone to contact me pls.

If this helps my phone number is [phone number removed] its a colombian number, thanks in advance for your support

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

OR——if you filed by mail, expect a long wait.   It is taking the very backlogged IRS six to nine months to process mailed returns.   Until a human opens your envelope and enters the data into the system, nothing will even show up on the refund site, so you will have to be very patient.
