when I add my kids 1099Q in Turbo tax, it said I had to put taxable income into my kids return.  Doesn't this makes it report twice on two different return?  I'm confused why the system told me to do that, so I need to amend it again. please advise.

OK ... stop ... the 1099-Q is only taxed on the kid's return  and not yours ... when you put it on yours it was ONLY to alert you that it needs to go to the child's return   ... AND  it goes on the kids return ONLY IF the distributions were NOT used for qualified education expenses  and  even then it may not be taxable if the kids income was under 12K this year.
