I need Help with transferring 2024 TurboTax Home & Business MacBook Pro macOS Ventura 13.7.8 to new MacStudio macOS Sequoia 15.7.3

I just Installed TurboTax Desktop Home & Business on my MacStudio M2 Desktop.

After I installed, I opened TurboTax Home & Business and the 1st thing I am asked to do is to Transfer my 2024.tax2024 Tax Return. However, when I choose the file, nothing happens. The 2024 Return is visible in the Transfer window but for some reason, nothing happens.

I need help.

When you can see the form in the transfer window, can you scroll down and click on anything else, like Insert, Continue or Next?

Yes. There is a Next Button but it doesn’t do anything. It just stalls at that point.

Have you had success in the meantime with transferring your 2024 return? If not, please state all of the steps you have taken.

Here's how to securely move a date file to your new computer while minimizing the chances of data corruption:

  1. Make sure your new computer has TurboTax installed on it.
  2. Connect a thumb drive or other portable device to your old computer.
  3. Copy or move your tax data file to the device. (We recommend copying instead of dragging and dropping.)
  4. After copying, disconnect or eject the portable device and connect it to your new computer.
  5. Browse to the portable device, select your tax return file, drag it to your desktop (or other easy-to-find location), then release the mouse key and copy (instead of moving) the file.
  6. After copying, open TurboTax, browse to where you copied your tax file and open it to make sure it didn't get corrupted.

If your file somehow got corrupted, delete it from your device and your new computer and repeat these steps from the beginning.

You might want to delete the file from your portable device for security purposes.
