Hello, I made a mistake of not applying for the American Opportunity Tax Credit in some of my previous years and want to know if I can correct this.

You would have to file amended tax returns for the tax years where you were eligible for the AOC.  Amended tax returns can only be printed and mailed, they cannot be e-filed.
