Have a date from turbo tax for IRS refund but still haven’t gotten it. IRS shows refund not even approved yet…what’s up?

Yes, the date you get from TurboTax is an estimated date for your refund. This is our best guess based on the experience of most people. 

If TurboTax says your tax return was accepted, that acceptance came from the IRS.  After your return is accepted, the IRS will post updated information on Where's my refund?

Turbotax's ESTIMATE OF REFUND DATE, generally 21 from acceptance,  is often wrong.  Some get it sooner some later
