Has anyone received no assistance when sent a letter from the IRS, although you pay for Premium?

I will never use Turbo Tax again. Either the website lies or the agents do, i haven't figured out which it is yet.

It's not clear from your question "which" Premium you are referring to.  TurboTax makes things unnecessarily confusing by having 2 products named "Premium"--the Premium Edition and the add-on Premium Services bundle.  The latter is an add-on for people in California who choose to pay their product fees out of their refund.  The third-party Audit Defense product is included if you are in California and used the Premium Services bundle.  However, it also depends on what tax year is in question and if you had coverage that year.   If you have Audit Defense from either buying it outright, or if you are in California and paid fees out of your refund (Premium Services bundle), the FAQ below will tell you how to contact the company that handles that.

 

In any case, if you didn't purchase the optional Audit Defense or didn't receive the Audit Defense in the Premium Services bundle in California by paying product fees out of your refund, you can still contact TurboTax free Audit Support Center for help with an IRS letter.    The FAQ below states:

 

"We can help you with your letter or notice from the IRS.  Addressing your letter or notice as soon as you receive it could prevent further IRS contact or examination."

 

Read this article, and you will see the special Audit Support Center phone number about halfway down the page under "Audit Support Guarantee."
