Got a CP2000 for tax yr 2016. I agree w/ the changes & owe additional taxes. I expect to get a Fed/State Refund w/my 2017 taxes. In TurboTax, Can I apply payment the additional 2016 tax owed towards my expected 2017 refund? If so, where can I do that? Is there a specific section in TurboTax where I can apply payment by using my 2017 tax?
Or is there a specific way to apply/add the 2016 taxes owed on my 2017 return?
I don't have the money right now to pay the taxes owed, and I have to rely on the 2017 refund to pay it.

Unfortunately, there is no specific way in TurboTax, or anywhere, to request that the IRS take part of your 2017 Refund and apply it to your 2016 taxes.
However, it is very likely that the IRS will automatically take the money from your 2017 refund to apply to your 2016 balance due.
If for some reason the IRS sends you your full refund, I would highly recommend that you take part of those funds and immediately send in the amount you owe to the IRS. That way you will minimize the risk of using the funds for other things and you will avoid paying additional interest and penalties on the amount you owe for 2016.
