Filing taxes for an Estate

Requested and received an EIN in 2024 for deceased aunt’s estate because one of her annuities wouldn’t allow using her SSN to receive payment because she didn’t list a living beneficiary.  The payout was around $8,500.  Her estate received a 1099-R for 2024, so as her executor, do I need to file Federal and CA State tax returns for this?
