filed on 1/26/2026 today is 1/29/2026 federal and state still PENDING

i called the turbotax helpline they said my tax return was sent to the IRS, but both my federal and state are still pending. when i log in on IRS.gov i cant find a return at all for the current year only the previous years is anyone else having this issue? ive filed with turbotax for years and have never had this happen usually accepts or rejects within a couple of hours

The first week that the IRS starts...they have millions of tax returns waiting to be processed.

Thus.....they only take small batches at one time....all week long until they are all processed, so yours may be sitting on the TTX servers ..waiting for the IRS to actually access your file..

AND they pull a small % of the files Randomly from all the software tax providers.....not just TTX.

To do too many at one time and their computers crash...and then it's chaos.

SO you just have to wait until they get to yours.

A couple weeks from now, 24-48hrs will be normal....but not this week...and maybe not next week either.
