Filed eight years past here online. Why does turbotax now keep asking me for specific information from my 2017 return (like whether I itemized), when it has it already?

Not referring to things that autofill info like names or previous 1099s, that carries over.  No, it acts clueless when there are certain decision points such as mentioned above, it directs me to look at my 2017 return and answer from that.  Another example was deciding whether my previous state tax refund was 2018 taxable, it asked me to look up my 2017 return and transfer that info.
