FAFSA changed and now uses tax info from 2 years back. So, for the 2017-2018 school year, it uses the 2015 tax info. "View tax info for FAFSA" is wrong and frustrating.

You can also get a free transcript from the IRS:

Sorry but the view FASFA in the 2016 return is for the 2016 tax year ... it is not wrong it is just no longer the tax year that they are requesting.   Save the 2016 FASFA info for the 2018-2019 school year.

If you didn't save the 2015 FASFA info when you had the chance last year then you will need to get the info from the actual tax return the old fashioned way.  Save a PDF of the 2015 return to look at the forms or get a transcript as mentioned above.

And before it is too late, make sure you have copy of your 2016 tax return for next year!

I did keep a copy of my 2016 taxes. The IRS website isn't working. But thanks.
