If you completed a Partnership return, Form 1065, a S Corporation return, Form 1120S or a C Corporation return, Form 1120 those could only have been completed using the TurboTax Business Edition software installed on a personal computer.
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
If, however, you completed a Schedule C for your business and used the TurboTax online editions, use this procedure to access the return.
To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Start the 2022 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.
On the Tax Home webpage -
Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF) or Download .tax file
Did you file a separate Business return using the Windows Business program or file Schedule C in your personal tax return?
If you used the Desktop program you should have a .tax2021 data file on your computer and backups. Both the Business program and personal programs use the same .tax2021 file extension. Search your computer for all files ending in .tax or .tax2021. They should be in your Documents in a Turbo Tax folder.
Why do you need the 2021 file? Are your trying to transfer into 2022? Here's an idea. Do you still have 2021 installed? Try opening 2021 program and see if you can get your 2021 return to show up in it. Go to FILE - OPEN. Then save it with a name you can find.
Or did you transfer from 2021 but your Schedule C didn't transfer? Maybe last year you marked the Schedule C as FINAL in Turbo Tax?
