EIC delays return
Why wasn't I warned that claiming EIC would delay my return? This is critical information that "specialists" like yourselves should relay to your customers. Especially considering it wasn't necessary (not claiming kids). This is something ya'll tacked on there to "benefit" me. Some of us NEED the money asap and would rather get it sooner than to get a few extra dollars. Thank you for the unprofessionalism.

EIC delays return
Sorry, but the software and the IRS would automatically add the EIC if you qualified for it. If you are getting EIC you are subject to the PATH act, like it or not.

EIC delays return
My complaint is not with TT adding the EIC, Its the fact that they didn't warn me it would delay my return. And no, the IRS certainly doesn't automatically add EIC if you qualify. They don't edit your return in any way.

EIC delays return
Are you kidding? The IRS reviews tax returns and finds errors all the time, And, yes, they would add EIC if it was supposed to be there.

EIC delays return
How do you become a level 15 with absolutely no sense? The IRS website is very specific in the fact that you can't get EIC unless YOU claim it. They don't just hand out extra money for fun. There are also millions of people asking how to claim EIC for years prior, I.E. the IRS didn't claim it for them. Have a clue as to what you're talking about before opening your mouth.

EIC delays return
How do YOU not know that claiming the EIC will delay your return? Sounds like you are the one uneducated about something you are claiming. This isn't the first year that claiming the EIC has delayed returns. Don't blame Turbo Tax for your financial situation.

EIC delays return
Sheesh why is everyone so rude? The irs may or may not catch errors. I had one it took the irs three years to find it đđ» and I literally got a letter three years later. By the time they found it I had to do some digging to find my records again and amend the return. If they pay out less money they are less likely to find the error. Iâm still waiting ( five years now) for another error they did and they still havenât paid me for it.đđ»

EIC delays return
It doesnât always delay it. No need to be rude. I donât claim EIC but half the time I still have a delayed return. I have adjusted my witholdings to get a small refund so I have more money throughout the year. Maybe that may help you?

EIC delays return
I just wish I would've been warned because I would've chosen to get the advance from TT if I would have known about the delay! I think they should have told us then given us the option to chose then! I am not happy to find out about all this after. I DO NEED that money. I am a teacher in Louisiana and have earned it, with 2 kids as a single mom who claims zero on her checks. It would've been very helpful for this path act heads up is all I am saying. I have used TT for years and years and switched from H&R Block and even payed extra to stay protected this year and still get the run around with no answers. I filed on the 29th accepted on the 29th projected on the 19th and that has come and gone with nothing but processing..... still.....
