Does TurboTax pay me for IRS interest on a mistake the program made? It failed to download all income from a broker account for 2017

No, you're responsible for reviewing the information that was imported to be sure it was accurate. TurboTax has no control over the content of the file that the brokerage makes available for import.

just an FYI, for many brokerages there is info reported to IRS that can't be downloaded.  so next year get your full broker's tax statement and review it against what was imported.
