Not sure what you mean by "if TurboTax requests for an additional form to be uploaded..."----once you file your tax return, TurboTax does not get any information from the IRS. Did you e-file your tax return? Was the e-file accepted or rejected?
Who asked you for another tax form? What form were you asked for? And what did you do to provide it to the IRS?
One of my investment accounts told me that the made a mistake and had to update one of the documents. So I copied it, uploaded it to my TurboTax filing. Then two days later, they emailed that it was a mistake and the form was fine. Ugh. Regardless, it’s been 5 weeks today since I filed and nobody can give me a straight answer as to when I could be sent. TurboTax just says that I filed and the IRS says they are reviewing it. No solid answers. Frustrating
Once your tax return is released to the IRS, TurboTax has no control over it.
Thank you for your response and information. Yes, I was aware that once TurboTax releases my taxes, the have no control over it. I also heard about there being delays but my question was how long might the delays be? Like I mentioned before, it’s been 5 weeks. Since checking my refund tells me nothing snd TurboTax can’t help either, I guess I wait an see if I ever get it. But I do appreciate your help, thanks.
The delays, if any, vary depending on what is going on with the return. The best way to find out what is happening to your return is to check the status in the IRS site. Usually if there are any delays, they will give you more information.
