B of A sometimes has issues with routing numbers for direct deposit.  Sign onto your bank account and verify the routing number for your account.

yes>    i just tried to e file fed and state returns (fed = minus $1000 but Cal state was + 1260) and was told the routing # from the the bottom left corner of a personal check was incorrect.    switched to 'wire transfer' routing # provided by phone service was at least accepted by both fed and state e file platforms.    

sorry for your troubles.....try the 'wire transfer' #.     call [phone number removed] to access it.
