Do I need to file amended return if the box 16 has a different number than the box 16 on my W2 does?

My return has been in the received status since January 23rd

Box 16 on your W-2 shows the state wages you received.  Do you mean it was entered incorrectly when you prepared your return?      That might cause the state to delay your state refund.   What does it say on the state site?
