Do I need to amend my state tax return, if I haven't filed it yet but have filed my amended federal return?

Turbo Tax is saying I need to print and file my NY state return, but then it says NYS requires efiling only. I'd prefer that but that's contradictory? What's correct?

If there is an Amended Form delete it and e-file the return.

Delete a Form in on-line

A.     Go to Tools in left side of screen and click on Tools
B.    A box titled: Tool Center will open and below the 3 boxes is: Other helpful Links…
C.    Click on the 3rdt one: Delete a Form
D.    Go to Form you need to delete and click on it and confirm
