ALL income must be reported to the IRS. Even your $10.17 bank interest. The 1099-INT instructions state, payers of interest of $10 or more are required to furnish you and the IRS with this tax information. So your bank will report your interest earned to the IRS.
Please see the TurboTaxFAQ on filing an amended return (1040X) below. Check the link often for updates on 2017 instructions. You are required to correct any errors on a tax return by completing an amendment. Although, some taxpayers choose to wait and see if anything comes along from the IRS.
