Do I have to clear and start of my return if I accidentally clicked that I am self-employed? My husband is self-employed and we are filing jointly; I entered his info.

I have already entered my husbands business information and do not want to start over.  I accidentally clicked that was self employed.  I am a teacher at a school district and have a W2

No, not if you mean that you answered one of the interview questions that you were self-employed. As long as you enter your information and his correctly, you should have no issues. If you accidentally  created a Schedule C Business for yourself, and you get an error message about it, you can delete that business from your return.

To delete a form:

  • Go to My Account at the top of your screen. From the drop-down, choose Tools. 
  • In the Tool Center, choose Delete A Form (see screenshot).
  • In Review Form List, find the Schedule C with your name on it, and choose Delete.
  • On the screen Delete Selected Form, select Delete. After the screen Form Successfully Deleted, go back to the forms list, and verify that the form has been deleted.
