Do i amend a 2012 tax return i filed?

or can I just fill out manually a 1040X form and mail it in for the year of 2012?

You have to mail it in any case.  You cannot amend a return from that late a year to get a refund.

I'm filing this 1040X for the year of 2012, not looking for a refund but mainly sending in  the correct gross income earn and correct taxes for that year because of wrong w-2's were used.
