Do amended returns come to the same direct deposit on file?

I have received my tax return direct deposited however when I did the amended I'm wondering will this also be received to me via direct deposit ?

UPDATED FOR TAX YEAR 2019

The IRS does not allow direct deposit on amended returns. They will send you a check.
