If you used TurboTax, any amount of Recovery Rebate Credit you are eligible for would automatically populate line 30. The amount would have been determined based on the number of people including dependents on your tax return and your income level.
You would have answered whether or not you received the stimulus payment during the year. If you answered "Yes" you would have been asked to enter how much. The difference between what you received and what you are eligible for would have gone on line 30.
If you answered "No" then the entire amount you qualified for would have been put on line 30.
If the line is blank that would indicate that the amount entered as already received matched the amount you are eligible for.
If you entered a different amount received than what the IRS has on record the IRS will make the correction and notify you of the changes. The letter they send you will have instructions on what to do if you don't agree with the changes.
If you did not use TurboTax and did not make any stimulus entries then once your return is processed (refund deposited) you will need to complete an amendment to correct the Recovery Rebate Credit. See question H1 in this IRS FAQ with more information.
Here is a link with instructions on amending your return in TurboTax.
There is no 4th stimulus check. There have been three stimulus checks. If you have a child that was born in 2021 then you can get the 3rd EIP by entering the child as a dependent on your 2021 tax return.
Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. If your child was born in 2021make sure you said he lived with you the whole year. There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support. Say NO to that question.
If you have entered it all correctly you should see the EIP payment on line 30. You should also see the child tax credit--it will be on line 28.
