Hi,
After e-filing our federal return, I realized I didn't enter my spouse's advanced child tax credit that she received. The federal return has been accepted
Should I wait for the Fed to deduct the right amount from my bank account?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
The IRS knows how much of the advance child tax credits were sent. They will adjust your tax return accordingly. If this results into more taxes owed they will send you a letter for payment.

I read some other postings that I don't have to amend my return. The Fed will notify me of the error or deduct the right amount from my bank account. Just want to confirm that's the case.
Thank You!
