On the printed copy of your simple return, your bank account information is masked for security purposes.  The IRS received the bank account information that you entered when you electronically filed it with them.

It depends on what your significant other entered for banking details. If there was not any checking information included, then a paper check would be issued to the most recent address on record.

To check what was submitted, review the PDF. For steps to get there in TurboTax, see this article: Where can I find what bank information I used for my 2019 taxes?

I did the simple return and put in my checking account information. Nothing that I normally wouldn’t do when filing any return.
