Dependent has two middle names. Last years taxes were submitted as M N. IRS will not accept either initial.

If the middle initials are not being accepted, do not enter the initials. The IRS computer only matches the first few letters of the last name from your (and the dependent's) social security numbers. The middle initials are not required on your Form 1040.
