Claimed my federal returns from last year but not my state returns. What are my options?

Just clearing up whether I need to pay the state back or if I am okay o claim my state return from last year

I'm assuming that by "didn't claim your state return last year" you mean you actually didn't file…You can still file your state tax return to get your refund.  You don't have to pay anything back unless your State Dept. of Revenue specifically requests it.
