How do I change the amount of my 2024 CA state tax refund to be applied to my 2025 tax return. I have not filed yet. Thank you.

I'm in California and have the Home & Business program too.  

For State, See if this works. Go to State Taxes tab and keep continuing and stepping though the interview about a dozen or more screens and it will finally ask how much of your refund you want to apply. You can change it there.     It is probably one of the last questions in the state section.

For California Desktop program you can switch to Forms mode and enter it on Estimated Wks (down under California) Part II Overpayment Application Options - line 2f Amount applied to 2025
