@9170a95919f2 complete the federal W-4 and the equivilent state form properly.
Why do you want to do that?
for federal, the W-4 mimics the tax return, so if you do not have a tax liability on the tax return, the W-4 should automatically stop withholdings from occuring.
The W-4 you fill out and provide to your employer affects the amount the employer withholds from your paychecks. Be careful-----if you are not truly exempt from paying federal tax, do NOT say on your W-4 that you are are exempt.
