Efile not used because TurboTax system said it was closed, later saw email that said it was still available.

Can you get a refund for unused federal Efile returns?

Using the TurboTax online editions there is no charge to e-file a tax return, federal or state. The TurboTax account fees are the same whether a tax return is e-filed or printed for mailing.
