Did you already e-file? If you did NOT e-file you can go to the FILE section and change how you want to receive your refund. If you want direct deposit you need the routing number and your own account number.
You cannot change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted. The IRS does not allow it.
Is it to late to enter my bank information? Plus your respond to my question is to late. Not sure if my tax return was done correctly.
@1957gbh Not sure why the reply is too late for you. Did you go ahead and e-file before you entered any banking information? If you have e-filed, you cannot change the banking information unless the e-file is rejected. If it rejects you can go back in and enter the banking information. If the IRS accepts your return, however, you are not permitted to change the way you receive your refund.
Did you e-file? Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
