Can we move the money to a bank account once the refund has been loaded in the Turbo Prepaid Visa® Card? Would we have to pay a fee for this transaction?

My concern is about the options the card affords to switch the location of the refund monies. I understand that we can use the funds in the card to purchase as with any other credit or debit card, but what about transferring some or all the funds out to a bank account?

You can withdraw the funds from the Turbo card at an ATM. There would be no fee as long as you use an ATM machine that is in network. Refer to the Turbo Prepaid card website (https://www.turboprepaidcard.com/) or contact customer service at (888) 285-4169 for more information.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the number you provided does not take calls from prospective customers. You need a card number. In regards to withdrawing, you are apparently correct. We can withdraw the funds from the card at an ATM, even at a teller for a $2.50 fee. The fee is waived only in the case of an ATM that is on the network. But that is not all. According to the site you suggested, there are other limitations. The customer cannot withdraw more than $3,000 per month: "You may withdraw up to a maximum of $3,000 per calendar month from ATMs and up to a maximum of $3,000 per calendar month from teller transactions unless otherwise indicated." Further, among other limitations, the card is useless outside of the U.S.:  "Your Card cannot be used at ATMs outside of the United States." Has anyone received permission to withdraw more than $3,000 a month? What are the conditions to obtain such an authorization?

I would guess that they would only approve an increase of the limit on an emergency basis, but given that the card is not administered by us, but by GreenDot bank, I cannot answer that question with certainty.
