Can turbo tax help me amend my 2014 federal tax return, even if I did not use TT for the original 1040 I filed?

I used a CPA to file my 2014 tax return but he is no longer in business. Upon review, I think that I may be entitled a larger refund because he missed some info related to education credits. Can TT help me file a 2014 1040x even though I did not use them to complete the original return?

In order to use TT to amend a return, you would have to purchase the 2014 software and use it to re-create the tax return you filed EXACTLY the way it looked when filed, and then do the amended version., which you wold have to print sign and mail.   In other words it will be a real pain.  If you think the tax preparer who did your 2014 return made mistakes you should go back to them to see what they will do to correct the mistake and amend the return.
