I pay child support every month for my 17 year old daughter. I haven't missed a payment in a long time. If I missed a payment in the past can the i.r.s take my state and federal from me even though I make steady payments now?

You have not mentioned if you have had previous tax refunds seized for back child support owed. No one at TurboTax can predict or answer whether your refund will be offset. TurboTax does not receive feedback from the IRS regarding tax offsets. You can check with the agency that administers the child support order to see if there is an order to offset your tax refunds.
