This just means that the IRS is reviewing your return.

The IRS does not notify TT, so we don't know why. But self-employment returns sometimes get extra scrutiny, especially if you claimed expenses are high relative to your income, or do not have 1099-NEC forms to support your income. Or, your return may have been selected at random for a manual review.

Be sure to respond to any IRS requests on a timely basis.
