A TurboTax Expert sent me two emails with information, but the emails say I have to login to the website to see the messages. After I login, I can't find where the messages are. Searching online only tells me to look in my account information or to look for a bell icon on the top-right of the window. I still can't find any messages. Where should I be looking?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
When you log into your TurboTax Online account, you will see a bell icon in the top right corner. Click on that for any notifications, which include emails from your tax expert.
Did I miss something? Your post just instructed me to acknowledge a post to my question with a thumbs-up, but I didn't see any reply to my question about where to find messages from a TT expert.
When you log into your TurboTax Online account, you will see a bell icon in the top right corner. That is where you will find notifications, including emails from your tax expert.
In TurboTax Desktop, the notification bell is in the top right corner when you are in your tax return.
I do appreciate your reply, and your mention of the bell WAS in your original post. I just failed to scroll up in the message box window. The upper portion of your post was not visible in the message window when I first opened your reply. I can't find the wording of my original posted question, but I thought I had already noted that among the few things I could find on my own about messages did mention the Bell icon, and that the messages the expert said he had sent were not there. Thanks anyway.
Generally, to find messages from your TurboTax Expert, you can log in to your account and click the "Expert Help" button in the top right corner of your TurboTax screen, then select "my contact history" to view messages. You can also check the bottom right corner for a floating Live help button.
If you can't see a button make sure your display settings are no more than 100%.
Check you emails, including your spam folder because if you have an email notifying you of a message from your expert, there may be a link in the email to view the message.

I appreciate the new suggestions for finding the substance of the 2 emails I was sent by a TT Expert that directed me to sign in to TT to see the actual messages. So far, I'm not seeing what I've been told I would find after I logged in to TurboTax. So far I've gotten the "We're So Glad You're Here" welcome screen, that then leads to the "Do Any Of These Apply?" checkboxes. Or, if I use the search history list on the right side of the screen and ask about "Contact History" the AI chatbot replies with, "TurboTax does not have a feature to view your contact history within the software", and proceed to tell me to check my emails from TurboTax support, which is where I started. I really do appreciate all the suggestions, but as intuitive as they seem (even to me) they're not getting me anywhere. Thanks anyway! Seriously!
You can try these things:
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.
