Can't e-file 2024 amended Federal + NY returns

I need to e-file amended returns for Federal and New York for tax year 2024. When I go to submit, I get this error message 

"The Intuit Electronic Filing Center is closed for the 2024 Personal Income Tax filing season. November 15, 2025 was the last day to file returns electronically."

I thought you could e-file (one the IRS opens for processing) for 3 years in the past? Will the system reopen in a few days and let me e-file or do I need to send paper?

I have the same problem. I cannot E-file my amended 2024 federal tax return.

Can we get a response, Turbo Tax?

Some Amended Returns can't be Efiled.  Here's more info on Efiling Amended Returns.

I am also receiving the same message as many others also have reported when trying to submit a 2024 1040-X.  There is no special situation mentioned in the message nor is there a special situation with the returns in question so some factual information from Turbo Tax would be helpful.  For example, the message states that it is closed as of last year.  Is Turbo Tax not setup to file amended returns in 2026 yet?  If so, when will they be?

Amendments are usually available toward the end of February.
