If you signed up for the "five day early" refund, it sounds like you misunderstood some things about that offer. You do not get your refund in five days. The offer says you get the refund five days earlier than the IRS would send it to you. The IRS will not even begin to accept/reject e-files until January 26, and after acceptance, the IRS has to process your return and approve the refund. Realistically, even with the "5-day early" offer, you cannot get your refund until sometime in mid to late February at the earliest, and if you are getting additional child tax credit or earned income credit, the IRS holds your refund until mid-February.
Not sure what email you are trying to get.
DID YOU E-FILE?
Did you e-file? Did you go through all three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted or rejected your federal e-file. If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected. The IRS will not begin to accept/reject e-files until January 26. Your state e-file cannot be accepted until the IRS has accepted your federal return.
