Can i view breakdown of tax refund?

I havent filed the tax yet, but enter w2 ,hsa and other related tax forms, and i am seeing x amount of dollars that i will get in tax refund, i am trying to understand how that amount was calculated, e.g. my income was x1 and federal tax withholding was x2, but my tax is suppose to be only x3, and so i am getting refund of (x2-x3), can i view this kind of breakdown?

Each of the numbers you refer to (1x, 2x, and 3x) can be found on your 1040. In the Online product, you can see your 1040 by doing the following:

• Go to Tax tools (on the left)
• Click on Tools
• Click on Tax Summary in the box that appears in the middle of the screen
• Click on Preview my 1040 back on the left

Although the IRS has broken the old 1040 up into a shorter 1040 and 3 Schedules, they can all be viewed in this Preview. Your taxable income is line 11b on the 1040, your federal tax withholding is line 17 on the 1040, and your calculated tax is on line 12a on the 1040.
