Can I submit a 10440 X and a NYS 201 X for processing even if I still can't print a copy of the 201 X. Does that prevent the IRS and New York State from reviewing and processing the amended returns? Thank you.

Assuming that your returns were electronically filed there’s no affect of your printing the returns.

Hello and thank you for your response.

Both my Federal and New York State were electronically filed and accepted.

But in now completing the 1040 X and the NYS 201 X I am told that my Federal has to submitted as a paper document to the IRS office in Kansas City. I was able to print a paper copy

Not sure why, but can it be transformed back to an electronic filing?

Regarding the State, TT advises it can be filed electronically. But I am not even given the opportunity to print a copy which of course I should have on file.

Can the print option be made available? I could not even print any of the State forms from the "view" option after selecting "Preview".

Please help resolve.

If you haven't mailed in your amended return yet, you can switch back to e-file by following the instructions in this link if you are using TurboTax Online.  

You can print your return out by following the instructions in How do I get a PDF of my return.
