Can I pull in amended 2017 return into an existing 2018 return or do I need to start over (I filed the amended the 2017 return after starting the 2018 return)?

I completed the 2018 return but before filing noticed it includes original 2017 information vs amended 2017 return.

Unfortunately, you will need to start over with a fresh tax file and use the 2017 amended return to transfer over the information to the new 2018 return.  There is no way to "update" an already started/completed 2018 return with 2017 amended information.
