Can I pay for my turbo tax fees with my refund on an amended tax form?

Paying your additional fees by credit card is the only option when amending your return.

That's because the IRS only mails paper checks (directly to you) for any additional refund on an amended return.

For fees to be withheld, there has to be an intermediary. If the IRS mails you the refund, there is no third party to withhold fees.
