Can I file only federal taxes. I accidently paid for state but cannot find where I can do federal only. I also need a refund for the state I paid.

This is the public user forum.  No one here can access your account or authorize any sort of refund for you.  You can make your request with Customer Support.  Use the word ”billing” instead of the word “refund.”

Whats the reason you don't want to do the state return? 

Generally when you file a federal return, the address shown on the federal return, that state will be expecting a state return as well.... California is notorious for chasing people down that filed a federal return with a CA address on it!
