Can I do the Turbo Tax Short Form on Turbo Tax Premium?

I have purchased Turbo Tax Premium.  I determined that it is to my advantage to take the Standard Deduction rather than Itemizing my deductions.  Can I do that with Turbo Tax Premium?

Yes, you can use standard deduction using Premier.  Standard deduction is the default unless you enter enough itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction.  If you do not want to use itemized deductions then don't bother entering them.

Do you have some other reason for using Premier instead of a lower version like Deluxe?  Like rental property or investments?

Keep in mind that information flows from the federal return to your state.  Some itemized deductions that have no effect on your federal return might still affect your state return.

there is no longer a short form like 1040A or EZ    everyone files a 1040 + any other required forms or schedules.
