Can I confirm which bank account my taxes will be debited from on April 15th? I cannot remember if which account I chose for the auto-withdrawal (checking or savings).

I selected the option to have what I owed automatically taken from my account on a designated day (April 15th, in my case). However, I can't remember if I chose my checking or savings account. I just need to confirm the last four digits of the account to know which account the money will be taken from. Can I confirm this somewhere in TurboTax? I do not see it in the .PDF copy of my return.

@jpderitter Go to this IRS website for information on how to cancel a payment - https://www.irs.gov/payments/pay-taxes-by-electronic-funds-withdrawal

 

  • Once your return is accepted, information pertaining to your payment, such as account information, payment date, or amount, cannot be changed. If changes are needed, the only option is to cancel the payment and choose another payment method.
  • Call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 888-353-4537 to inquire about or cancel your payment, but please wait 7 to 10 days after your return was accepted before calling.
  • Cancellation requests must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. ET two business days prior to the scheduled payment date.
